7. Tightener: to make the line wire straight;

8. Barbed wire: on the top of the fabric which enhances the security level of the fence.

How to Get a Chain link Fence Ready for Installation

There are many different varieties of chain link fences on the market. What is important for this guide is to 

understanding the different parts of a fence: the line post cap, end post cap, top rail, rail caps, tension band,

 tie wire, line post, tension wire, corner post, and tension bar. In order for the guide to be of service to you,

Dig Holes for the Posts

When digging postholes you want to make sure they are at least three times wider than the post diameter. Insert

 the posts and fill with concrete and gravel and level.

Filling Holes with Concrete

When filling postholes with concrete be sure to check that the posts are level every step of the way. Uneven 

posts will make for an uneven fence!

Attach Tension Bands, Caps, and Rails

Tension bands should be slid over each corner, gate, and end post. It is best to use a rubber mallet to prevent 

premature damage to your fence. The tension bands will hold in place the mesh covering of your fence. Once the tension bands are set, install all rail caps. Ensure that the caps are attached firmly. Finally, install the rails of your fence and tighten all brace bands. The important thing to remember here is to make sure all parts are tightened and sealed adequately.

And that’s it! It is now time to install your chain-link fence at your property. At this point, you may wish to retain an extra pair of hands to help raise your chain-link fence to the ground!
